The first week of school, there was a sub in Jillian's class because her teacher was on vacation. When I'd pick the kids up, nearly every other day, her name would be spelled wrong on her artwork. It said "Julian." Which, by the way, is a BOY name. But, anyway, I'd point it out, or the teacher would notice when she gave it to me, and we'd talk about how it is spelled JILLIAN.
Yesterday, when Jillian handed me her picture, she said, "mom, I just went ahead and wrote my name on it myself, so the teacher wouldn't have to." And she did - it was very clear that it said her name. Spelled correctly.
