Yee Haw!

Grandma and Grandpa Barber wanted to go to the rodeo while they were in town, so on Friday night, we headed out to Mesquite for the rodeo! It didn't start until 8:00, which is just about the kids' bedtime, but both did great! They both stayed awake for the entire thing, and were in good spirits and enjoyed watching all the action.

Jillian loved riding the ponies! She picked which pony she wanted to ride, and she wasn't thrilled that I was walking next to her - she wanted to go by herself! She's such a big girl!

Jake made friends with the old folks sitting behind us. They all ooohed and ahhhed all over him, and he flirted up a storm! He enjoyed watching the bulls and horses as well.

There was a small petting area, with a small cow, some goats, a few bunnies, and a pig. Oh, and a trough of baby chicks. Jillian was cautious, but she did enjoy running around in the pen. And she found a bucket of grooming tools, and ran around "brushing" the animals.
