We got up early this morning and got the kids ready and picture-perfect so we could take pictures of them in the fields of bluebonnets that Texas is known for. We see pictures all the time of kids in these huge fields of blue flowers, and they are just so pretty. So we asked around about the best spots, and set off to take our pictures.
You don't see any posted here because we couldn't find ANY fields of flowers. We saw a few beautiful patches of bluebonnets on the side of the highway, but obviously we weren't going to stop there. We're going to have to go south more to find some good fields, I think, but unfortunately, it probably won't happen for awhile. We've got a busy few weeks coming up.
Next weekend, of course, is Easter. We're doing the Eggstravaganza egg hunt and play day at church on Saturday, and then Easter on Sunday. Plus, Rick's parents are coming into town on Friday. Then the following weekend, the in-laws will be getting ready to leave. During the week, Rick will be dealing with the possible labor strike at work, and I'll be in Albuquerque for a hearing for two days. Busy busy!
