Trimming the Tree!

Time to put up the Christmas tree! On Wednesday, we decided to get out the tree and the decorations and make it Christmas in our house. The kids were very excited to help.

Jillian watched me test a strand of lights, and decided that she'd be the official light tester. She tested each strand about eight times. They all worked!

More testing....

Lights are on - time to start decorating! Jake started going through the box of ornaments to find which ones he could get into.

We have a bunch of snowmen ornaments, and there are some with red and green hats, which Jillian decided were boys, and some with pink and purple hats, which Jillian decided were "princesses." She put every princess snowwoman on the same branch. I tried to move them later, and she got all kinds of mad and told me they had to be on the same branch because they are friends. She checks on them all the time, to make sure I haven't moved them!

Jillian is calling the ornaments "charms." She kept asking if we could put more charms on the tree. I'm considering calling them that from now on, because I think its cute!

Jake enjoyed the tree trimming, but he did get sidetracked a few times...

Jillian and Rick put the angel on the top of the tree. Jillian keeps telling me that she wants to talk to "Angel," because she has stories to tell.
