Oooh, a pony! I loved this reaction!
She has named this horse, Papa. Apparently, all the other ponies are either afraid of Papa or want to be right next to Papa, depending on the day. She plays with her ponies all the time, and they've come with us in the car almost every time we've gone somewhere since she got them.

Jillian was excited to open this big gift from Santa. She took every.single.bit of paper off before she even looked to see what it was. She was bent over, with her head behind it, peeling the paper off, after the front was unwrapped.
Once Jillian finished opening her gifts from Santa, she "helped" Jake open his. Meaning, she opened them, and then showed them to Jake. He didn't seem to mind. Much. This is a big rug for the playroom that has roads and parks on it, for Jake to run his cars on. I think Jillian will have fun building pens for her ponies on it too.
Opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa Barber.
As soon as she opened these pretend high heels, she had to try them on. She loved them, and loves playing dress up!
Jake really wanted to play with the shoes and the box they came in, but Jillian wouldn't let him. So he got mad and threw a fit!
He recovered qucikly though. We just gave him another present to open! A tractor! From Grandpa Mat and Grandma Cindy. Jake loves this tractor - it makes all kinds of noises and has buttons to push, and has a little farmer that sits in it. The tractor made Jake forget all about those pretty high heels.
And the paper was flying off the presents! Jillian was really into opening this one! Which, by the way, was Jake's.
Oh my! Princess Jillian got a crown and a magic wand from Grandma Bob and Grandpa Bob. Perfect additions to her new high heels! She was very excited about the crown and wanted to put it right on!
While Jillian was distracted with showing off her new crown and wand, Jake took a moment to play with his sister's new jewelry!
Grandpa Mat and Grandma Cindy got Jillian a new pound puppy. This guy has officially been named Frankie, and has received top spot, with his friend Henry, on Jillian's list of must-haves before she can go to sleep!
Showing off her Tinkerbell shirt from Aunt Cathy and Uncle Don!
More ponies!
The kids got so many presents that we ended up holding some of them back to open after their nap. We decided to let them open their presents from their aunts and uncles and cousins after they woke up from their nap and ate lunch. We wanted them to have a chance to play with all their new stuff before they just got overwhelmed.
Jake got all kinds of boy toys, which he really needed. He has a bunch of cars, a tool belt, and a tractor. Also, he got two different kinds of blocks, art supplies, and some books. Jillian got Olivia books, ponies, a new blanket for her bed, princess stuff, a princess light for her room, lots of jewelry, the Pound Puppy, and some games (Memory and Candy Land!). To share, the kids got an art easel and a play house.
We were so blessed to have such a great Christmas with our little family, even though we weren't able to spend it with everyone in Florida. And, for the first time in 80 years or so, Dallas had snow on Christmas Eve!
