Jake's First Hair Cut

Jake had his hair cut for the first time today. He had a section on the back of his head that just kept getting longer and longer, but it was the only part of his head that had any hair - so it looked kind of like a mullet. We were going to just cut it at home, but we couldn't really decide what would be the best way to do it without it looking silly. But Rick needed a haircut today, so we decided we'd take Jake too. We went to SportClips, which is perfect for a little boy.
Jake wasn't phased at all by the clippers. I thought he'd pull his head away or get upset, but he didn't. He just sat there quitely, trying to watch the lady in the mirror. It was really cute!

The finished look! Jake's hair looks so much better now - we wish we hadn't waited so long to take him in!

Jillian was very good while we were there. She sat and watched Jake get his hair cut. Before we got there, I told her that daddy and Jake were getting their hair cut, and she decided she wanted to get hers cut too. I don't think she even really knew what it meant to get her hair cut, but since she wasn't gonna be getting hers cut today anyway, I told her we were going to a place that was for boys. When she gets her hair cut, we'll go to a girl place. So when we got there, she kept talking about how it was "only for boys."
