Since the kids aren't in school right now, they haven't seen their friends in a while. Last weekend, Jillian and I had a "girls day" and had breakfast and played at the mall with her friends Yasmine and Hannah and their moms. The three girls all talk about each other all the time, and they call themselves "best friends." They are so cute together! (Jillian, Yasmine, and Hannah were the "Yaya Girls" at daycare last year - they always ate breakfast and lunch together at their own separate table, sat next to each other in circle time, put their cots next to each other at nap time, and basically were inseperable. The teachers used to tell me that they'd never had kids who were so attached to each other before.)
Jillian was so excited to see Yasmine - she hadn't seen her in about two months.
Hannah and Jillian had seen each other earlier in the week when we stopped by the daycare to talk to one of the teachers, but neither Hannah nor Jillian had seen Yasmine in forever. So Yasmine was definitely the girl of the day. Jillian and Hannah constantly fought over who got to sit next to Yasmine!
After we ate, the girls wanted to hold hands and play "Ring Around the Rosie" in the restaurant. Yeah, we let 'em.
