I can't believe that Jake is going to be one in just two weeks! We've been trying to decide what to do for his party. Last year, for Jillian, we had a bunch of people over to our apartment for a party. Then this year for her second birthday, we had a bigger party at the church, and invited a ton of kids from church and from daycare. She had a blast, but it was a lot of work, and many fo the same people and kids that came to Jillian's party would come to Jake's. So we aren't sure if we want to have another big party for Jake.
Rick's parents are going to be in town the week of Jake's birthday. We need to decide ASAP whether we are going to have a party with our friends and some kids, or if we are just going to have a fun dinner on his birthday, with a cake, and then take the kids to the zoo. If we do the zoo thing, we'd get some balloons to tie to his stroller or something. I just want to make sure I get pictures of us celebrating his birthday so that later, when he's like 12 and looking at his baby book, he doesn't wonder why we made a bigger deal out of his sister's first birthday than his. Its tough being a parent, always wondering if something you are doing is scarring them for life.
So, what to do? What to do?

I say zoo with the balloons! Less hassle and he will have a great time seeing all of the animals. Plus great pics for the baby book :)
