Painting Pumpkins

Rick went grocery shopping this afternoon and brought home four little pumpkins and some paint. Jillian was so excited, but we told her she had to clean up all her toys and eat her dinner before we could start painting. She did, and we got started. First, Rick handed out the pumpkins. There was one for each of us - a big one for daddy, a little bit smaller one for mommy, and then two baby ones for Jake and Jillian. Painting pumpkins was the perfect way for us to spend the evening!

Here's Jillian and Jake, waiting for us to get all the supplies ready.

Jillian started with purple, because "its my favorite color!"
Jake started with green, and was very focused.
That focus quickly turned to curiosity - curiosity about what paint tastes like!
Time for a color change.
Jillian loved painting, and switching colors. I think she used every single color of paint we had!
Jake tasted every color that he used. Judging by his face each time, it doesn't taste good! But he kept trying - like maybe a different color would be a different flavor!
The finished pumpkins! Jillian was so proud of hers, and loved looking at it up on display. Jake ended up using a lot of yellow and orange on his pumpkin, so its hard to tell that it is painted - but it is!
