Fall Festival

Last weekend, I took the kiddos to the fall festival at our church. The theme was "outer space" but we didn't have any costumes to go with that, so Jake just wore his Halloween shirt, and Jillian recycled her old cheerleading outfit from last year. The festival had food, bounce houses, games, a dog costume contest, music, candy, and a chili cook-off.

As soon as we got there, the first thing Jillian wanted to do, of course, was check out the bounce houses. The kids especially liked this toddler-sized one - it could hold only two kids at a time. We spent a lot of time bouncing!

Jake bouncing with his friend Lincoln (the son of our friends Josh and Leah). Lincoln's dad came in second place in the chili cook-off!
Next, we went to the toddler area, which was "roped" off with these chairs. It was kind of nice to have a place to keep the kids contained, but where they could run around as much as they wanted.

Hey - what's in here?Jake decides to investigate too.

I think this picture is so funny! Looks like they're playing football, and Jake's the quarterback!
