Puzzles!

We've recently bought new puzzles for Jillian. She LOVES putting together puzzles. When she gets a new one, she wants to do it over and over again, and it doesn't take her long to master it.

A few months ago, we bought her a "real" puzzle, with 12 pieces, and after about 5 times, she could put it together in just a few seconds. She has a few of those types of puzzles (which have a suggested age of 3+), and loves to put them together. For a challenge, we got her to do the puzzle upside down, so the pieces are all blank, and, though it took her a bit longer, she did it! Since she's mastered the 12 piece puzzle, we bought her a 48 piece puzzle. My plan was to wait a few months to let her try it, but from the moment she saw it, she begged us to let her "play puzzles." So we got it out, and, again, we had to help her a bit, but she got it done. She hasn't mastered it yet, but she can definitely do it on her own.

This one is definitely Jillian's favorite though. I really thought she'd have a difficult time with this one, but she loves it! Jillian knows the names of some of the states, and knows exactly where each one goes. She can do this puzzle by herself in about 5 minutes or less. Her "favorite" state is Nebraska, but she also likes California. She knows that we live in Texas, and that grandma and grandpa live in Florida, and she can point each one out.

We have a video of Jillian doing this puzzle by herself, but its kind of long, so we aren't going to post it, unless, of course, there is an outpouring of requests to see it!
