Florida Hallowen

One of the reasons we love Florida so much is the year-round warm (HOT) weather. That's also one of the reasons we don't love Florida so much! But this weekend, we took advantage of the beautiful sunny day to take the kids on a boat ride. There was a youth fishing tournament going on at the boat dock, so we had to wait a while to get the boat in the water and ready to go. The kids waited patiently...sorta.

Then it was Jake's turn to drive. Jake "drove" practically the whole time. It was cute - Rick would say, "okay, straighten it up, Jake - we need to go this way..." And Jake would wiggle the steering wheel back and forth, and then Rick would nudge him in the right direction.

We stopped on the shore of the river for a minute, and Jillian and Jake thought it was time to get out. First, the water is nasty - like greenish-brown nasty. Second, the water was COLD. And third, we were just stopping for a minute.

But they just HAD to get out. So they collected "seashells."
