Morgan, getting ready to get wet!
Jillain getting ready to get in the water. It was a bit chilly, at first!
Once you got used to it though, the water was nice. Jillian had fun getting her hair wet in the fountains.
After playing in the water all morning, we had some tired babies. And grown-ups! We went home so Jake and Jillian could nap. Jake woke up first, and played blocks with Morgan. He loved all the attention he got from her. Plus, Jillian wasn't there to constantly steal his blocks from him!
When Jillian woke up, Rick kicked us out of the house because he had to do a conference call for work. So we went up to the mall to get a few more things for Morgan for school, and we let the kiddos play in the play area for awhile.
On Saturday, we went to Ft. Worth to see the cattle drive at the Stockyards. Aunt Cathy and Morgan were excited to see the cattle!

When is this cattle drive going to start?
Giving Jake some kisses!
While we waited for the cattle drive to start, Jillian modeled her new necklace. She got it at Sam Moon (the purse and jewelry store) that we went to with Aunt Cathy and Morgan right after we picked them up from the airport. Jillian loved being a "big kid" wearing jewelry.

Stilll waiting...

Finally! Its almost time for the cattle drive, so Jillian took a seat way up high on Daddy's shoulders. What a veiw up there!
She's watching so intently!
And there they are! The Longhorns!

After the cattle drive, we came across this old car with horns on the front. We couldn't resist pictures of that!

Could this picture be any cuter?
Jake started getting hungry about this time. And hungry Jake = cranky Jake. Food, pronto!
On our way to the restaurant, we came across these 'outlaws!' Jillian wasn't too thrilled by them - she was a bit scared. I don't think Morgan was too thrilled with having to have her picture taken either.
Jillian kept saying that she wanted to ride a pony or a horsie. Normally, we see lots of cowboys on horseback at the Stockyards, but we weren't seeing any. Finally, we realized that she wanted to ride the mechanical horses!
Finally, time to eat!

After lunch, Jillian spotted the balloon clown. I was surprised that she wasn't scared of him, but she went right up to him and asked for a balloon. The clown gave her a choice between a flower or a puppy, and she chose a flower. He said he'd make her a flower hat, and she thought that would be great!
Its done! Modeling her hat with the clown!

Look at me! I have a cool flower hat!

Uh oh! Jake's in jail!
Oh dear. They're all in trouble now...

Morgan riding "Big Jake." I couldn't convince Jillian to get up there with her, though she did volunteer her brother!

After we left the Stockyards, we went to downtown Dallas to see the Grassy Knoll where President Kennedy was killed. Aunt Cathy and Morgan didn't care to see it, but I told them they had to. Morgan and Rick stood in the street on the first "x" where the first shot hit Kennedy.
It was hot, hot, hot outside! Jillian climbed up in the front seat so she could be closer to the air conditioning vents!
When we got home, Jillian drank her smoothie. She'd never had one before, and she LOVED it!

After a long, hot day, Jake just wanted to hug Morgan!

Aunt Cathy and Morgan had to leave the next day. We were so happy to have them with us, and sad to see them leave. Jillian went to the airport to help drop them off, and she wouldn't give them hugs and kisses. I asked her why, and she told me it was because she was sad that they were leaving. As soon as they started walking away though, Jillian started saying, "I love you Aunt Cathy." She was kind of whispering it, so I told her she had to be louder so they could hear her. She started yelling, at the top of her lungs, "I love you Aunt Cathy!" until we couldn't see them anymore. It was very cute, but also very sad. I know she'll miss both Aunt Cathy and Morgan. We all will. Thanks for coming to visit us!
Aunt Cathy cried almost the whole way to the plane.
