Memorial Day Weekend

In between going to the Emergency Room with Jake and going to a party for some friends who are moving away, we made time to go to the Rainforest Water Park at the community center nearby. Its perfect for the kids - everything is sized for them, there are tons of lifeguards, and its fun! There isn't a ton of shade though, so despite the sunscreen, Rick and I still came home with sunburns. Jillian, however, is now sporting a pretty great tan! Obviously she didn't inherit my skin tone!

This picture was taken on Monday, after Jake had started feeling better. The water was still a bit cold, so Jake didn't LOVE being in it, but he was a good sport.

This is Jake on Saturday, just before we realized how hot he was and decided we needed to leave the park and take him to the Urgent Care. He just looks sad, doesn't he?

This is such a great play area. There's also two big slides and two smaller ones, as well as a lazy river and a bunch of fountains. The kids love swimming here!
