HCLA Pep Rally

Jillian joined her school's cheerleading squad this year, to cheer for the flag football team.   The kids' school is pretty small, so the school usually just uses the local rec teams as their sports teams.  They have kids sign up at the school, and then the school submits a team to the local rec league.  They had enough kids for four flag football teams in two age divisions.  They did the same for the cheerleaders - our girls were going to cheer for our teams.  But once the season started, the league told the school that our girls were the ONLY girls in town that signed up for cheerleading.  So they became the league cheerleaders instead of the HCLA cheerleaders.

At the beginning of the season, the school had a pep rally to cheer on the football players.  I love that the school includes the little kids in things like this.  All of the cheerleaders this year were young - the oldest ones were in third grade, and there were five kindergarteners.

Ready for the pep rally!
Just after the cheerleaders were introduced.
 Cheering for the football players.
