Barber Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Barber the Saturday before Christmas. The kids were so excited to start our Christmas celebrations. While they waited for everyone to arrive, the kids played outside with Grandpa.
As soon as everyone got there, we finished up breakfast, and then started opening presents right away. Jillian quickly figured out that her presents were all wrapped in red Princess paper, and Jake and Hayden's presents were wrapped in Cars paper. So she was sorted through the presents, mostly to find her own, and got down to business.
When Jillian opened this Littlest Pet Shop toy from Aunt Wendy and Uncle Gary, she brought it over to me, all excited, and said, "This is what I've always wanted!"
Jake opened his first dump truck. He also got a garbage truck with little garbage cans to pick up.
After Jillian opened her presents from Great-Grandma, she ran over for a "thank-you" hug!
Jillian is currently obsessed with Rapunzel, after seeing the movie 'Tangled.' She got this Rapunzel doll from Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Barber, and she was so excited. When she opened the box, she squealed and hugged the box. She couldn't wait to get Rapunzel out of the box!
Jake got a set of power tools. Some of them are REALLY loud! But he loves them!
Jillian got a Rapunzel dress-up costume for her dress-up box. She put it on immediately.
After we were done opening gifts inside, Jillian and Jake came outside to open their big gifts from mommy and daddy. We decided to give them these before Christmas, because Rick was off work the week between Christmas and New Years, and we wanted the kids to have a chance to enjoy them with Rick during that week.
Opening up their brand new, big kid.....BIKES!
Jake's super cool Batman bike! Jillian loves her bike. It has a baby carrier on the back for her baby dolls. Its so cute.
Right after I took this picture, Jillian pedaled right up next to Jake and leaned over. She said, "Jake, aren't our new bikes really super great?" I think they were really happy with their new bikes! It was drizzling, but the kids didn't care - they just kept riding and getting the hang of their new wheels!
The next morning, we got up and went to church, our last service before Christmas, since we were going to be out of town for Christmas Eve. Jillian wanted to wear her new Ms. Claus dress that Great-Grandma Delaney bought for her. She was so cute!
While Jake waited for Jillian to get ready, he played with some of his new toys, while George looked on.

And when we got home from church, Jillian changed into a new dress, and played with her new toys. We had such a great weekend!
